We attended a house party in Hampton today thrown by the Muns to give a platform to John Edwards: democratic nominee hopeful for the 2008 Presidential Elections. In tow were my daughter Sage, my good friends Raluca & Ti Chase. We met up with other good friends Denise, Mark, James & John Jacobsohn (along with what appeared to be the entire population of greater Metro Hampton NH!). It was a cool Autumn day, and a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon. We were all impressed with Senator Edwards: he came across as warm, genuine, knowledgeable, and passionate. Sage was especially entrhalled as she fell asleep during the rally! Thanks so much to the Muns for hosting! Our daughter Sage was christened this month at First Parish Congregational in York Village Maine by Pastor Rich Knight. Both sets of Grandparents, George & Rose Hoffman and Doug & Linda Posson, and our friends and family (Hugs to Great Auntie April & Cousin Jenny for making the long trek too!) were all in attendance, and everyone (except for Sage apparently!) enjoyed the after party at our house. It was a bit of a rainy day, but Sage was shining in her heirloom dress. BIG THANKS to my Godmother Monique Carrington for bestowing the absolutely lovely and cherished heirloom dress, booties, bonnet & jewelry to Sage. She will have them all to pass down to her own children some day! And also another BIG THANKS to Raluca Chase (honorary Auntie to Sage!) who lent her special talents as photographer for the day!
